CHELSEA COMPLETES £107M BRITISH TRANSFER RECORD FEE FOR ENZO FERNANDEZ

Chelsea has signed Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a British record fee of 121 million euros (£107 million).
The fee exceeds the £100 million paid by Manchester City for Jack Grealish in 2021.

Fernandez, who only joined Benfica in August for a reported £10 million, was named the tournament's youngest player during Argentina's World Cup victory in Qatar.
Chelsea's January spending now stands at £289 million, according to transfer website Transfermarkt.
He has agreed to terms with Stamford Bridge on an eight-and-a-half-year contract.

Chelsea, how can you keep spending?
The agreement follows an outlay of £270 million in the summer window, a record for a British club in the summer window, bringing their total spending under new American owner Todd Boehly to more than £1 billion.
