MBAPPE WILL BE OFF FOR THREE WEEKS AFTER MISSING TWO PENALTIES' DUE TO HIS INJURY

After suffering a hamstring injury during the PSG victory, Kylian Mbappé will miss three weeks and miss two penalties.
In Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 victory over Montpelier, Kylian Mbappé injured himself after missing two penalties and an open goal in 100 seconds.

Benjamin Lecomte saved Mbappé's shot after PSG was given a penalty seven minutes into the game for a foul on defender Sergio Ramos. Mbappé had scored three penalties in the World Cup final seven weeks earlier.
When VAR determined that Lecomte had strayed from his line prior to the shot and ordered a retake, Mbappé was spared any embarrassment. However, Lecomte made a mistake once more and tipped Mbappé's penalty onto the post. The PSG forward received the rebounding ball immediately, but he volleyed over from six yards out.

The Parisians' predicament only got worse when Mbappé had to be substituted out after pulling up while holding his hamstring.
Mbappé will be out for approximately three weeks, according to a club statement on Thursday. This means that he will likely miss PSG's crucial Champions League match against Bayern Munich. Due to a knock, Sergio Ramos is also a question mark.
Mbappé's embarrassment was made worse by the fact that Reims striker Folarin Balogun, who scored against PSG over the weekend to prevent the Parisians from winning, now holds the record for most goals scored in Ligue 1.
The Parisians won the game despite not having Mbappé, in part due to Lionel Messi, the World Cup favorite.

Before summer signing Fabián Ruiz opened his account for his new team in the 55th minute, goals scored by Messi and Achraf Hakimi were disallowed due to offside. After finishing a lovely team move, Messi doubled PSG's lead fifteen minutes later.
Arnaud Nordin of Montpellier made a late comeback, but PSG's Warren Zare-Emery, a young player, won the game in the 92nd minute, becoming the youngest player to score a goal for PSG.
PSG's superstar team has struggled since returning to club football following the World Cup, despite eventually winning.

The World Cup's French champions saw many of their stars shine, including Mbappé, Messi, Neymar, and Hakimi. However, the team appears to have had a hangover from the tournament in Qatar.
Since returning to Ligue 1, it has lost twice in the league, was held to a draw over the weekend, and may be without some of its key players for a run of games that includes two games against Bayern Munich, two games against fierce rivals Marseille, and a trip to Monaco.

Coach Gaultier stated, "We are not going to hide behind the post-World Cup calendar."
Our performances haven't been as good as they were in the beginning of the season for a few weeks. We must work, solve problems, and reconnect.

If the team wants to avoid another year of disappointment in its quest for a elusive first Champions League title, it will need to turn things around, possibly without Mbappé.
